NOTES: Is it always the same 2 checkers working during the morning? They seem to have a beef with me. AND, why was one coupon adjusted down, and the other not. I don't care if they adjust it, I mean, Free is Free. But, I'd like some consistency. SIGH.

Miley Cyrus

How cute? The butterfly wraps all the way around the side. $1, Wal-mart, on a clearance rack. My sister liked it so much, she had me go back and get her one as well. Silly side note, my brother-in-law wears a ton of Hurley brand shirts. They have a lot of black and white graphic designs on them. Connor kept asking if this shirt was for Uncle Aaron. Hahaha.

It is Miley Cyrus brand.....but says nothing about her on it anywhere. I do hate supporting her though. Makes me glad I only have a son, and no daughters! She isn't exactly what I would call role-model material. Stepping down from the soap box...

Target....sigh.

Today was an annoying Target trip. Seriously guys. Let's break it down.
  • Stacy's Pita Chips: $3, had a FREE coupon from becoming a Facebook Fan
  • Dove Travel Hairspray: 97 cents, had a $1.50 coupon off, and the cashier adjusted it down to 97 cents. And was snippy about it.
  • Boca Burgers: $3.14, had a FREE coupon from Houseparty
  • Target Bags: $2 something each, had a $1 off purchase of $3 UP product coupon from a magazine
  • Iams Cat Food: $7.49, $5 off coupon
  • Mango the Chihuahua, priceless

I tried to buy 5 Quaker singles to get the $5 Gift Card. But the gift card didn't print, and they told me it wasn't on the singles, even though there was a sign directly in front of it. That is really frustrating to me as a shopper when junk like that happens. I am not an idiot, I can read a sign. They offered to go back with me to look at it together....right....with screaming Connor already mad at life. I may be taking a break from Target. Does anyone else ever get frustrated with this kind of stuff? I just makes it hard to coupon when they change the rules.

Hy-vee Red Hot Weekend

I was shopping this morning at Hy-vee, and came across this: Hy-vee Red Hot Weekend deal. 19 cent Dannon Yogurt, 9 cents after the $1 off when you buy 10 from 1-3S1. Run, don't walk. They are going fast.

Side Question, has anyone seen this kind of deal before? Is it just in cahoots with with their heart disease awareness? What is going on?

Wal-mart Deals

I am just lovin' all the Wal-mart deals I have been finding. It's all the way across town for me, so I don't get out there often, but I will be trying for more with these deals.
  • Activia 4-Pack: $2, $1 coupon 1-10S, $1 final
  • Yoplait Yo-Plus 4 pack: $2, $1 coupon 1-3GM, $1 final
  • Campbells 4 pack chicken noodle: $2, 40 cents 1-3 S2, $1.60 final (I had two coupons, but only 1 would go through, and I am sick and tired, and didn't fight with the woman, and $2 for 4 cans of soup is a good deal anyway, so YMMV)
  • Day old bread: $3 marked down to $1.80
  • Wanchai Ferry: $6 (it's nearly $9 at Hy-vee!!), $1.50 1-17S, $4.50
  • Mater's Tall Tales: $6.97 (no deals, no coupons, just sick Connor wanting a new book, so much for the no-more-buying-connor-things-when-he-is-with-me)

Wal-mart Deals

According to the flyer - these are good from January 31 to Feburary 6th, but they were valid today as well.

  • DiGriono Pizza, nomally around $5, sale $3.97, $1 off 1-24S, $2.97

  • Johnsonville Brats, $3 normally, $1 off 2 in 1-17S, $2

The flyer says the prices aren't suppose to be good till January 31st, so YMMV.

The Grocery Store Envelope

I had this awesome idea, all on my own. Take an old envelope, like this one that a bank statement came in, write your grocery list on the back, put the coupons inside for the shopping trip. Then recycle the envelope after your trip. Awesome.

Old Navy

Connor modeling the $2 Old Navy Costume! It's a 4/5T, and he's a 2T, so it's pretty big, but will work next year. He likes to wear it around the house and ROAR. So it's near impossible to get a picture of it.

I got this deal by asking the manager for any in stock costumes, it was behind the check out area. So, don't be scared to ask! All Old Navy's other Halloween stuff was $2 as well, shirts, boxers, onesies.

Snuggle!

With the assistance of coupons from Kari, I was able to copy this Hip2Save transaction.
I'll break it down, Winona Style.
  • I bought: 2 Pink Snuggles, 6 Blue Snuggles.
  • Used 8 $3 off coupon from 10-4 RP, making them a quarter a piece.
  • Total came to $3.79 (tax was $1.79)
  • I had a $2 off any purchase coupon from buying Nature's Source last week.
  • Final Total of $1.79, and I used cash.
  • Received a $5 coupon off my next purchase of anything over $5.
  • Made $1.21 on this, plus now I have enough fabric softener for 208 loads of laundry.
Thanks Kari, this could not have been possible without you. Also, Kmart is low on stock of this, who knows if they will re-stock. The cashier was so mystified by my savings, he had another cashier come look at it.

Walgreen Freebie's

I thought it may be fun to share pictures of coupon findings! Anyone have any they want to share? I love looking at pictures of this stuff.
Here I have Connor checking out my Walgreen freebies.
  • 1 Gillette Fusion Razor, on sale for $8.99, used a $4 coupon (9/27 RP), and got a $6RR. $1 profit
  • Herbal Essences conditioner, on sale for $2.99, used $1 coupon (9/13 RP or 8/23 RP), got a $2 RR. Free.
  • Vaseline Lotion, $6.99, received $7 RR. Free
  • Chapstick Effects, $2.99 received a $3 RR. Free
  • Halls Refresh, on sale for $1, used 75 cent coupon (9/27 SS) received $1 RR.
  • Oral B toothbrush, on sale for $3, used 75 coupon (9/27 PG), received a $3 RR. Profit 75 cents.

Of course there is sales tax on all of that.

I know there are PLENTY of other blogs out there with this exact info, but isn't it fun to see Connor checking out the merchandise? Send me any pictures you have of your finds!

On side notes, on Sunday the Oral-B RR wasn't printing, so the manager gave me a $3 giftcard. Today, the razor $6 RR wasn't printing, so he gave me a gift card for that. Upon closer inspection, I was only suppose to get the $6 RR if I bought the "MVP" razor, so technically I wasn't suppose to get this. Oops.
