Target has men's converse one star chuck shoes marked down to $8.74, so now the whole family came have a pair!

Also, their summery outdoorsy section is clearanced to 50% off right now.  I got a portable croquet & bocce set for $9.98.  There are picnic blankets (I have one from years past and i LOVE it, went to Buffet with me!), water toys, bins and other fun things.  I consider Summer to be July-August-September, so we are just beginning summer!

Cheap Chucks

Converse One Stars on clearance at Target.  Black Sparkle and light blue denim for $8.74, kids flames for $5.74, and some tie dye ones for around $14.  Lots of sizes, 75% off!

Target Markdown Schedule

This is more for me, then anything. Target had a schedule they use for when they markdown items, when they put out those beautiful, beautiful red clearance tags.

• Monday: Kid's Clothes, Electronics, Stationary
• Tuesday: Women's Clothes, Domestics, Pets, Grocery
• Wednesday: Men's Clothes, Toys, Lawn & Garden, Health & Beauty Aids
• Thursday: Hardware, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Music, Movies, Books, Luggage, Decor
• Friday: Jewelry, Hardware, Auto, Cosmetics

Holiday Markdown:
All holiday merchandise follows a general schedule. Except for Christmas.

• Day after Holiday: 50% off
• 4th day after Holiday: 75% off
• 7th day after Holiday: 90% off

Christmas is tricky, from my personal experience, it is the following.

• December 26th - January 1st: 50% off
• January 2nd - January 6th: 75% off
• January 7th: 90% off

This year, the Target Dollar Spot section had their Christmas stuff 75% off a day before the rest of the stuff. So, always scan things to be sure!

Target Labels

Who doesn't love finding a good red Target label. Somethings you should know about it:

• Multiple labels = multiple times discounted
• Top right little number (here 75) shows the percentage off, from 15% to 90%.
• 90% is really only for crap or Holiday merchandise
• ALWAYS price check, not all clearance labels are right, lots of times the discount is even MORE
• And, just because it's 75% off, does not mean you have to get it. Only buy what you love, can store and afford. It's not a deal if it doesn't make those 3 requirements.

• Axe Hair gift pack at Walmart (in Health and Beauty section) for $4.44, used $3 off from 12-12 RP.  Has shampoo, body spray and hair putty.  the hair putty is pretty awesome.
• 50% off xmas stuff at Walmart
• 50% off xmas stuff at Target (clearance prices on food/freezer section stuff, check all departments!)
• 50% to 70% off xmas stuff at Shopko, but their stuff is EXPENSIVE right now.  it was 50% off a week before xmas, so i am waiting this place out.  they have stacks of ornaments i'm interested in.

Airwick Candle

Target has $2.99 Air Wick candles. Use the $3 off from 11-14 SS, and they are free. They are located in the air freshener aisle, but at the far end, hanging off the side kick end thing. These make nice holiday gifts....if you aren't using your coupon, I know someone who will!

• Danimals: $2.09, used $1 off Target coup from the back of the 3 cent notebooks listed in previous post, there are still some available to buy, $1 off from 9-12S2, 9 cents final
• Softsoap: $4.69, sale $3.99, $1 from 9-12S2 (target only), $2.99 final (you can probably get the little ones cheaper, but I prefer the big refillable bottle)
• Mr Clean: $2.99, sale $2.49, used BOGO Free from 8-29PG, $1.25 a piece (plus, they were the Bonus 20% more size)
• Kandoo Wipes: $1.65, used $1 from 9-26PG, 65 cents final
• Shoes: $16.99, clearance for $4.24
• Sandals: $14.99, clearance for $3.74
• Boys Belt: $6.99, clearance for $1.74

Of course, I forgot my bags, so I came home with 3 plastic bags instead of saving an additional 15 cents. Sigh!

Target School Supplies

Target has super clearance on their remaining supplies. 20 cent scissors, 3 cent notebooks, backpacks for less than $4. The backpacks are SOOOO cute, some even have wheels. But they are mainly girl ones. If I had a girl, I would buy them all.

I had a new guy cashier. He seemed really nice, and was very good with my coupons. Even gave me 20 cents back for using my canvas bags. It would be nice to have a different morning cashier than the regular 2 that I have already pissed off enough.

Target!

Target has half off their black dot Dollar/$2.50 Spot stuff. Lots of fun summery stuff for 50 cents to $1.25. I picked up a shark clothes hamper that I will re-purpose and a Cars book for 50 cents. There are tons of beachy things and 4th of July stuff. Good fun stuff, just didn't have time to rummage. Also, the patio furniture stuff is 75% off. So, hurry!

Target Deals

• Crystal Light: $2.39, on sale for $1.97, used $2 off coupon from Vocalpoint that came in the mail today. Cashier adjusted coupon down, so it was free, no overage.
• Pepsi 12-packs on sale for $1.99 a piece
• Schick Hydra Razor: $7.99, used $4 off Target coupon from 6/20S and stacked $5 off coupon from 6/13S, making it $1.01.
• I also used 2 canvas bags, taking another ten cents off.

So, if you are doing the Razor deal, make sure and have an extra $1.01 worth of fun stuff!

Olay and the Buckets

First things first:

• Olay face wash for sensitive skin, on sale at Target for $3.69.
• Used 2 coupons for $2 off from PG 5-2 (but those expire today, but there are other ones out there for $1 off 5-16S).
• Total came to $7.38, minus the $4 in coupons, $3.38.
• Got back a $5 gift card, so, I made $1.62 and got 2 things of free face wash
• (I'm not figuring tax, that just makes it too damn hard)

Next:

How lovely are these buckets? 19 gallon rope buckets, located near the patio furniture/grilling stuff. They come in red, green, orange and blue. I got a green one too. One is going to be for outdoor toys, and I am thinking one for Connor's room, and one for the basement. They were $6.99, on sale for $5. I tried to get Mango to pose next to the bucket, so you could get an idea of how big they are, but he doesn't know any commands, like sit or stay.

Deodorant at Target

3 packs on clearance for $3.50 on end cap by pharmacy. I used a $1 off 2 from 5-2PG, making the deodorant $1 a stick. And as all of Winona must know by now, Johnny B is a snob and ONLY used Old Spice. There were 3 packs of Axe and Secret as well. Some coupons in 5-2 PG as well

• 4 Bertolli Dinners, on sale $5.98, used $1.50 coupons from Cosmo, Real Simple and others, there are also $1 printables you can stack, got $5 gift card for buying 4. Final Price $2.23 a piece
• Gillette Deodorants, normal $1.72, clearanced $1.52, used $4 off 2 from 5/2 PG, and I DID get the overage of 48 cents.
• International Delight creamer $1.59, clearance $1.16, used 55 cent from 3/7s, final 61 cents.
• Coffee Mate creamers $1.59, clearance $1.30, used 50 cent from 5/2, final 80 cents.
• Nivea body wash, $3.99, used $4 from 5/2RP, and I DID get the 1 cent overage
• Tic Tac, $1.04, used BOGO Free from 5/2, 52 cents a piece then
• 20 cents off the total, since I used my two canvas bags!

Target Recycle

Target has special recycle bins now. How great! Left to Right:

• MP3/Cellphone/Ink Cartridge
• Glass/Plastic/Aluminium
• Plastic Bags
• Trash

I really like this, and hopefully more local stores will follow this. In Eau Claire, the Kwik Trips have special recycle bins for glass/plastic/aluminium. Which is great, I just can't bring myself to put a soda can in the trash. It will bounce around in the bottom of my car, rather than go in the trash.

Remember, Target loves it when you bring in your own bag, and gives you a nickel back for doing so!
